I just realized that I have carmex accessible to me wherever I am. My desk drawer, my night stand, my purse, and the little console in my car. I'm a freak.
But in other news, I went home for fall break.
When I was in high school my best friend Chantony practically lived at my house (val can credit to this). We didnt have 4th periods our senior year so Chantony was over at the Lucas house every day, and would end up eating dinner with, she became the 5th seat at our table, so much that mom always made an extra portion for Chant. Fast forward to us leaving for college, she goes to Hawaii and I go to Greensboro. As hard as I tried to stay in touch with her it just didn't work, I mean if I was 1/2 across the world I would loose sight of my friends back East too. So for the past 4 years we've been friends but kinda rough around the edges.
Chant took off from school to go travel and now she's back on the banks living with her parents working. So everyday that I was home I had a phone call from her seeing what I was doing later, we had a Laguna date on monday, went out for dinner and a movie last night, and we sat in the front yard for hours talking just like we used to when we were still in high school and Zeke was a puppy. I can't explain the feeling but to reconnect with your best friend-that you swore you hated and would never talk to and talked shit about and overall just gave up on-to come back into your life is so wonderful. I mean I've known the girl since I was in 5th grade, didnt become friends till 7th because she moved to canada for a couple years but oh god this is sappy. I'll stop here.
My lesson learned this weekend, things work in mysterious ways and never give up on a person.
