(no subject)
I decided I would go ahead and write this morning while I'm in a better frame of mind. In addition to that, I don't want to run into LJ problems like I did late last night.
What would we do without computers. My internet had been down for several days and it was very frustrating. I live out in the country and our internet is by satellite along with the tv, etc. With two college students in the house, we were both in a panic and venting. The computer tech finally came on Tuesday night and got everything fixed. We also have a dial-up as a back-up to the satellite. This has been a new experience for me as I have always lived in town and had a quicker response, etc.
I slept pretty good last night, I guess I was just exhausted. I will spend today getting caught up on real estate calls, homework, personal paper work, etc.
In addition, I am helping my sister "can" beans. I used to can years ago, but hadn't done it for a long time. I will admit I'm "barely" helping. Thank goodness we have Mom, Dad, and my sister's mother-in-law breaking and stringing the beans. Not this year (can't handle canning and school), but next year I would like to do a lot of things like that. I also need to teach my girls how to do it, whether they continue or not. I think it is important to pass this like that on to the next generation.
When my daughter was here, she was talking about all the things taken for granted. She even specifically referenced "lightning bugs". She and her kids were outside trying to catch the bugs. My grandson had never seen them because there aren't any in Florida. I bet you didn't know that informative fact did you?? (haha)
