I don't want the Doctor to take Martha home; I want him to promise Martha that he will search for and find Jack, no matter what, and he wants her help in doing so.... but then she'll need that job Jack may offer her at Torchwood when she gets home!

Oh dear. I knew that, as primarily a Martha fan, you would probably be disappointed with where this story goes now.

Your plot does sound like a great story but it's not the way mine goes now. It could be an AU of this AU.

Ah, sorry. Rose was only in for the first 6 chapters. Characters come and go in this story and Rose actually had a very small part. I suppose I should have removed her from the character list after that.
