Except for this guy. And did I miss something? When did Jack save Peterson's life?

Yes, except for Peterson.

He did. It was something that Peterson told Owen, when he met him in the bar in chapter 1. That's why he was helping Jack by giving Owen the DVDs.

That was great chapter, two chapters actually since I haven’t got much time lately and I didn’t look here for a while so I read two of them at once. And I’m really surprised, I was wondering how they will find out about what happened to Jack in unit, since he wasn’t very eager to talk about that, and you arranged it perfectly! And as much as I’m happy for Jack that they managed to save him in time I’m afraid if they won’t turn away from him now when they know that he gave unit the codes. I hope they will understand that he didn’t have much choice in being the state they got him into. And one thing I don’t understand that Jack didn’t tell them about EMP device. Unit I understand that he may have been afraid but I, I can’t figure out this ( ... )

Thank you, and sorry for the slow response.

I think that knowing what Jack went through on the Valiant and the state he must have been in when imprisoned by UNIT no one could blame Jack for breaking and spilling all Torchwood's secrets.

Jack did try once to tell them about the EMP device, when he said he helped the rebels. That was when he was being taken off the Valiant by UNIT at the start of Too Long A Sacrifice. They wouldn't hear him out though. And then he didn't get to explain that at his trial.

Since they met up again Jack was fully focussed on getting away and did not trust them. By then they already knew that he was innocent and he was not thinking in terms of justifying himself, so the subject never came up.

Things will become known more widely and have major ramifications.

Finally the truth is out. The torture did not stop after the Valiant. He was deliberatly addicted, was raped and was forced to prostitute himself for a fix.

Lets hope the team can find a way now for Jack to heal. UNIT have a lot of questions to answer.

Yes, they now know what they abandonned him to and the awful results that had. Major guilt trips all round I think.

UNIT heads need to roll for this.

I would love to see what happens if Sir Alastair finds out about what happened at the UNIT prison. I don't think he would be happy that they even HAVE such prisons, if he knew how they treated their prisoners, he would have a coronary. Then, he would go in and rake everyone involved over the coals. I would LOVE to see that!

Slowly the truth is coming out. Now Tosh knows why UNIT was trying Jack's codes, when he would have known they'd have already been changed and wouldn't work. Obviously, having seen the condition Jack was in when his drugs were withheld, they'd know he'd have had no idea what he told them in his desperation to get a fix.

When the Queen finds out what UNIT was up to, heads will undoubtedly roll. I hope all of the guilty parties will be caught and punished. I also hope that everyone is eventually made aware of what a horrific ordeal Jack was put through on the Valiant, without including the humiliating details, of course. Jack deserves to be exonerated with everyone. Which brings me to the Doctor. He most definitely needs to be put straight on just how much of a total bastard the Master was.

I don't think that anyone with a heart could blame Jack for anything that he told UNIT. It's a miracle he never told them about Ianto and Lisa.

Torchwood will undoubtedly go back to the Queen with their information. She wont be pleased.
