Surfacing.

*I'm considering changing my journal name. This one feels so 2001.

*Life is good but very busy. I don't know when I'm going to have time again for just relaxing. Someday.

*I'm reminded again that I'm still, underneath it all, the same kid who believed in Santa Claus until I was eleven, and my first reaction was, "Don't tell me the Easter Bunny isn't real TOO?" I am still too utterly naive to believe the worst, even when I probably should. The faith in people and the world around me is probably a good thing in some ways, but in others I'm always running smack into walls of reality when the rose-colored glasses of denial break down. I'm always /surprised/, but surprises just aren't always good.

*We got our Emmy-cat. She currently snoozes beside me, purring like a motor. She's a very thoughtful cat; she's had hairball issues a couple times as she readjusts, but she's always managed NOT to do it on the carpet. Best cat ever.

*I probably should write about some other stuff, job-related and fitness-related (hey, I got a DDR pad, what games do I want?), and kid-related, but I'm not really feeling terribly interesting lately. My daily drama is mundane: I have no time, my money ain't there for at least another few months, and I've had some moments of isolation. I wish I were going to Comic-Con.

*Pie. That is all.
