let go; strip down
run, sweat; rub the salt in.
taste, listen; let go.

my body, my cells, my sweat, my tears.

my salt knows me. my salt settles, pacifies.
"its ok, i know what to do"
so I run, sweat, rub it in.
lay down, taste, and meet my soul.
i listen.

listen patiently for a melody.
a tune hidden in the endless buzz.
10, 9, 8...
i started a countdown.
monotomy likes repetition.
7, 6, 5...
let go. detach.
i listen underneath the plain.
4, 3, 2...

quietly, almost silent a note arose.
joined by another; so familiar.
sweet and comfortable,
it flowed from my eyes

rolled down my cheeks and hit my lips
the salt was my salt
but the song was his
strumming my ribs he layed with me
tasting my tears.

his song was already there.
washed in with my pain,
washed out with my pain.
but i let go. i listened. i hear.
he(a)r(e) with him.
