There are two parks downtown and we went to the wrong one for the actual ceremony, but we were with the free carousel rides & free hot chocolate/cookies... so I'm not complaining!
Killian ran down this row saying the colors, and then he ran back counting, all on his own! I was so impressed with his spontaneous counting! Even though he only went "One, two! One, two, one!" It's a start kid, I love your enthusiasm. :)
We got there early (woops) and he was just walking around the fense, watching the test runs. He looked so whistful! It was so cute.
I tried to get him to go look at the giant ornaments, but I looked back and he had gone back and sat on the bench to watch the carousel some more.
We were both really cold at this point, but still, babies be crazy. We waited in line for the free snacks and he was like "HAH CHOKATE!" But then when we got it & cookies and I offered them to him... he spent the next 15 minutes running around the whole place WAILING. Oy. He kept going to a seat way far from me, sitting himself on it and screaming. I don't know if his grandparents do time outs or what (we don't) but that's what it looked like. Strange! He calmed down when Molly (
ricochet_dreams) got there, thank goodness!
Molly!
On his third (or fourth?) ride of the night. He loves elephants a lot. He made the elephant noise as he went around. It's funny because he doesn't look like he's having fun while he's on it, and by the end he's trying to get down... but when he gets off, he watches the next go around for a little bit, and then runs back to the line. I guess it a love/scare relationship. If so, he's brave to keep doing it! :)
Molly took this picture from the parking garage while I put K back in the car. Molly, please teach me how to use my camera at night!!!
(That blank wall in the distance, this park is new & they are building a stage thing right below it for concerts and stuff and hopefully when that's done they'll have giant posters or something over that thing. Blank walls are evil (and actually breed crime, true story) and this one facing a park kills me.)
:)
