I wrote this while listening to blood brothers today in photography, so I think I might have a few plagiarized phrases. I know I stole the "sugar and vinegar" combo. But I think that's it.
Trade love for lust,
this shutter stays closed.
Trust on a platter,
the apple in her mouth.
Please stay back ten feet.
Eyes glass like her heart;
fragile, too soon broken.
The shards streaking down
and splintering into her cheeks,
sugar, vinegar, your sleeve.
Blood caught in the corners
of lips; of rose petals; torn.
What symbolism!
What foreshadowing!
Her gums slowly decaying!
Hands rotting away!
Get out your film,
load your camera.
Mix your palette! Hurry!
No time to waste.
Capture this tragic disaster,
tame it with shackles
and make it your own.
