Okay so I won't bore you all with the details, but in brief:

A) Have been to L&D 3 time since last Thursday. Preterm contractions. My OB isn't considering it preterm labor (yet, lol) because I am not dilated however my cervix is softening. But she said the softening is normal at this stage. I'm not sure if she said that to not worry me or if it's true. I was given a shot of terbutaline the first day, as well as a prescription for it to use at home as needed.

I went again on Monday because I woke up at 4a with a HUGE spot of water under me (literally it was huge) that did not smell like pee or, well, anything and did not stain my white mattress pad. Go into L&D later that morning and was told that it did not appear to be amniotic fluid (though I'm still having a hard time believing that was pee!).

Thursday night I ended up at L&D again because I was having really bad 'period' cramps in my lower abdomen and my back, as well as having contractions. And the terbutaline pill did nothing to stop them (though it had been effective the few times I'd taken it before). So off to L&D I went, where I was given one shot that made the contractions worse (and they were all in my back - if that is a precursor to back labor I may just shoot myself) and a second that finally settled my grumpy irritable uterus back down. I've had some minor cramping and contracting since then but nothing crazy.

B) The first time I went to L&D (first Thursday) I was told I had a very bad UTI which might be causing me to contract, and they gave me antibiotics. The second time I was tested again and told I still had it but it was getting better. Then on Wednesday I called my OB because of weird discharge and was informed, oh, by the way, you didn't really have a UTI you've been taking the antibiotics for nothing. I have SOME kind of infection but not a UTI. So they had me come in. And guess what, I have a yeast infection from the damn antibiotics I was taking that I didn't need. Thanks for that.

C) Tuesday was my appointment with the neurologist. They took me off of Verapamil because it wasn't working as they had intended (I'd had a headache, albeit usually a minor one, every single damn day since a week after starting the verapamil - and this stuff was supposed to prevent them!) and we think it was making my blood pressure drop low after taking it. So, guess who doesn't get to go back to work or drive until at least July 11th? Yeah, me. And I won't even be going back to work then because if Ember isn't here by then (which I'm willing to bet anyone a hundred dollars she will be) I'd be due in 8 days anyway and then be going back on leave. So I spoke with HR and they agreed I'd just stay out on short term disability until she's born, and then I'd go on maternity leave. So when all is said and done I will potentially have been out of work April until September. 5 months. Wow. Haha.

D) Speaking of blood pressure, mine has been insane. I start of with a "normal" reading (120/70ish) in the morning, but by the end of the night it's usually somewhere around 90/50. And two days ago it randomly spiked to 146/99 even though I hadn't been doing anything but laying in bed having contractions. Weird?

And, finally, the fun stuff. Belly photos. I finally look pregnant in clothes. Woo hoo.

Oh, and if someone would like to tell Ember to keep her feet outta my ribs, I'd appreciate it. Lol.
