RIP JOFFREY ORR

About 10 minutes ago, I had learned that one of my good and dear friends had died in a car accident last night. That friend was none other than the amazing Joffrey Orr.

I don't know much else about the accident; I just know that he has beaten us all to meeting God and Jesus Christ, face-to-face.

It's things like this that put you in a state of shock and awe.

I also know that everything happens for a reason. It just sucks that Joff had to be the one to set things in motion.

But Joff had always set things in motion, whether he knew it or not. He constantly wrote about his thoughts, his interesting life, and his touching poems. Although he may not have known it, he did touch a lot of people. I'm sure that now he knows this, and he is probably praising the Lord on High with all his might, doing it Joff-style. And I'm sure he's gotten all his questions answered; all of which we are still asking.

It's hard to believe that no more than a few days ago I was hanging out with him at his mom's house. It was only about a month ago that we had gone to camp. It was no more than 2 months ago that we illegally climbed the roof where he took his awesome pictures. And it was merely over 3 or 4 years ago that I met him.

Joff will be remembered for enjoying skimming, fighting with friends, hardcore concerts, two-stepping at Cotillion, sailing, and his gross old Coach shoes. His character, however, was the most amazing and memorable part about him. He was thoughtful, introspective, and so unique. I would not do him justice in trying to describe his whole personality. In the end, he was a strong Christian who did not sway to one side or the other, which to me, was the most memorable thing about him.

I hope that everyone else will not only remember him for his wild spirit and crazy antics, but most of all for his undying love for Jesus Christ and the unsaved.

Rest in peace, dear friend.

Joffrey Orr
