i just had to say goodbye to my mom and grandmother because they're going to dallas for the weekend. i was starting to feel a little sad when this conversation ensued between my brother and self re: the television/wayne's world 2.
truck: (medium whisper) "i gotta turn this down so dad can sleep."
me: (distracted, a few seconds later) "turn that down so dad can sleep."
truck: (low-ish whisper) "didn't i just say that?"
me: (lightbulb) "i think i just--"
truck: (loud whisper) "what?"
me: (louder) "what??"
truck: (technically still whispering) "YEAH! ALRIGHT."
me: (normal voice) "WHO?"
truck: (loud as fuck) "MIKE JONES !!!"
it was very hard for me to respond without a rick james throwback. thank god for pop culture.
