What's accepted and promoted in this day-and-age...

As many people say, I don't need someone so much as I want someone. A companion is a nice thing to have. To have someone tell me that I mean something to them, makes my heart soar. Those kinds of people are hard to find this day-and-age, though. It's sad.
It's all about flesh and how far you can get with someone now. It's sickening. What happened to having morals? Or wanting it to be perfect? Why now is it about how quickly one loses their virginity instead of how long they keep it? Just because I girl doesn't want to have sex at fifteen doesn't mean she's a prude, and just because I guy hasn't lost his virginity at the age of twenty-five doesn't mean he's gay or ill-equipped. It means they actually care about who they lose it to.

Girls have to be perfect with supermodel bodies nowadays and guys have to be an uber jock to be accepted in society. If they aren't, something's wrong and they're cast aside. That's a load because no one's perfect and everyone has problems. It doesn't matter how hidden they are, they're there. We're a flawed creation whether we like to admit it or not, and sooner or later we'll be let down in some way by those we consider to be perfect. They die of a drug overdose or lose their hair to Chemotherepy; and then they immediately fall from grace.

Porn stars don't live down the street from every guy, but a lot of them wish that. Those who don't have my highest respect. I wish I could find someone like you. Male models or sports stars don't live next door to every girl, but they look anyway. Those who don't, again, have my highest respect. I hope you find who you are looking for and someone who is good to you.

For those people who don't care what society is the norm, I commend you. You're a bigger person than the guy who turns every girl down because she does have a D cup and puts out on the first date. You're deeper than the girl that has to put make-up on to hide the fact that she doesn't like the guys she dates but has to because it's a status symbol. You're a better person than those who have to rely on society to tell them what's right and what's wrong.
