Millie was curled up on her bed taking a nap with Proudfoot dozing quietly beside her. She hadn't slept well the past week, so with things finally feeling back to normal with Logan, her quiet afternoon reading a book had turned into an impromptu sleeping session.

As quiet as can be.

Far more quiet then any sane person would think possible from such creatures as a matter of fact...

The Feegle peeked down at Millie from an air vent and whispered to each other.

"Are ye sure we suld be doon this? I dinnae want tae anger the big-wee-not-Kelda or the Hag what lives in the big hoose."

"Oh aye! Booksis fer lendin! An we need tae practice The Readin' o' the words. Bigjobs gots hords o'books called lye-berries where they take an give books all day."

"Shouldnae we go to this lye-berry then?"

"Hoot no man! They's so full o'words we'd never figure out which ones tae read! Nay, it's better tae git a book ye know is gud."

"But look! Readin' tha book has made her fall asleep! Are we sure it's gud?"

"Oh well, tha's normal... I dinnae know about you lads but readin' is powerfully strenuous work. Why jus the other day I was lookin' at one o' them street signs and I needed a nap right there 'afore I even got half way through 'brick'."

Much nodding and "Oh aye"s and "Tha's troo"s resulted from the observation.

"Right le's go doon there and git it then."

Millie sighed contentedly in her sleep and turned over so that she was curled around Proudfoot, leaving the book lying all by itself .

*Thwip!*

There was a rush of air and a strange sound like a book sized area suddenly became vacant causing air to rush into the spot.

Oh, and the book was gone.

Proudfoot woke up at the strange noise and glanced around, whiskers twitching. However, seeing nothing out of the ordinary in the room, she put her head back down, nuzzling into Millie, and went back to sleep.
