I don't wanna get in trouble or start a fight or raise anybody's hackles, so I will be brief. ♥ I was a bit of a tactless ruffian a few days ago and do not wish to repeat that behavior.

It seems to me that Gackt, even at his age, has a lot of growing to do. You've laid out the evidence very well, in my opinion, and it all seems to point toward the fact that he has a hard time looking outside himself. A woman should agree with him, a woman shouldn't argue, a woman who takes his opinions as her own is ideal, etc. It seems he wants a kind of unconditional acceptance from a female that isn't all that realistic -- or healthy? Asking questions and having a healthy dose of doubt can sometimes be the greatest weapon a person can employ, much wiser than blind acceptance or faith.

But that's just my interpretation.

He calls his views old-fashioned and that's precisely what they are, and they seem to be very out of place -- even incompatible -- with the world he lives in.

But I'm only one woman thinking one way.

And a raging feminist, to boot.

I love Gackt to pieces. I think he has a brilliant artistic mind and has the capacity to be as sweet and loving as the next man.

But he could do with a swift kick in the pants in this arena by any of his beautiful modern-day female fans.

Is that the conclusion that you came from from reading this or is that something you already believed? Since thats completely different from the point I was trying to convey. My point wasn't that Gackt wanted to control his girlfriends but rather that he brags about having dominance in a relation ship while completely failing at that in real life.

Thats why I juxtaposed the Beat Freak interview next to the Arena 2009 interview. In the Beat Freak interview he claims he wants his girlfriend to never argue with him. But in the Arena interview he admits to doing the opposite of that, arguing with a girl friend and giving in immediately

"So I apologized and said "In that case, I'm sorry". She said that line, "It's too late for that now!", to me. I said,
"Why? I wanted to say it before but I couldn't, so I'm apologizing. I'm sorry.""

My point was that Gackt isn't really all that good with dealing with conflict in a relationship. When his girlfriends are angry with him he just runs away and hides or capitulates and when he wants something he just sits back and whines. It seems to me that its not so much that he wants a girlfriend who doesn't argue with him, because he wants her to agree with him all the time, but rather he fears conflict and thinks it would easier if no one started any fights to begin with.

It's an opinion I've had that I feel like the evidence in your post reinforces.

But you know, like you said, he contradicts himself so much and so often that it's entirely possible he's confused the fuck out of me and I've lost whatever message he ever meant to convey.
