The Japanese premier of Kong: Skull Island was held on Wednesday, March 15th. The red carpet event stretched down Godzilla Road in the Kabukicho district of Shinjuku, to the Toho cinema which is famous for the giant Godzilla peering over the top of the building.
In attendance were Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson and Brie Larson, plus Nozomi Sasaki and GACKT from the Japanese voice cast.
1,200 lucky fans (including 200 G&LOVERS members) won tickets to attend the event and lined Godzilla Road. All of the actors greeted the fans, and GACKT took his time signing autographs and taking selfies with fan's phones.
Several videos have been posted from the event. They're all very similar. This is the longest and probably most complete of the videos.

The main point of interest is around the 15:00 mark, when the event's MC asks GACKT to ask Tom Hiddleston a question, and the pair have a short conversation in English. GACKT said that he thinks King Kong is twenty times more interesting than Jurassic Park.

GACKT shared a nice photo with Samuel L. Jackson on his Instagram and in his blog.
Just finished the red carpet for KONG. They are really cool guys. See you !! In the Japanese, he added a comment about how cold it was.
And GACKT posted more photos from the event in his blog.
GACKT spoke several times in his blog about how cold it was on the orange red carpet. Before the event started, he got ready at the Ritz Carlton hotel and did some press. He spoke to Tom Hiddleston, who he said was very gentlemanly and had a James Bond aura around him.
And because I can, here are some photos I took at the event. There are four, you should be able to flick through.
