GACKT's new movie 'Karanukan' & Instagram updates
It was announced today that GACKT will have the lead role in the movie 'Karanukan', due for release in 2017. It's his first lead role in a movie in 14 years - since MOON CHILD.

Story
GACKT's character is a photographer. He's in the Yaeyama Islands to take photos of a beautiful girl against the backdrop of the stunning scenery. When shooting under a waterfall on Iriomote Island, there is a blinding light, so he shuts his eyes. When he opens them, she has unexpectedly disappeared... Four years pass, and he continues searching Yaeyama for her. As he commutes back and forth from Yaeyama, he is touched by the beautiful nature of Okinawa and he takes photos. He starts to become aware that he's fallen in love with her. Why did she disappear? Perhaps it was a dream, perhaps it was the river god 'Karanukan'...
