Yesterday, September 19th, GACKT presents Camui♂Gakuen took to the stage at Kishidan Expo 2015.
Here are some photos and a brief report from the show!
Immediately before Kaicho and the senpais took to the stage, a video was shown (as it was for all of the artists). It had comments from Kaicho, and also the Kishidan main man Show Ayanocozey alongside some footage from Gakuensai concerts. Show was kinda surprised and disappointed that GACKT wasn't showing up and that he was getting Kaicho instead, but eventually decided that Kaicho was better than nothing.
The video ended with an illustration of Kaicho...

@more_rock The school bells chimed and the Gakuen school anthem began to play. The lyrics were shown on the screen and the band took their places as it played. When it was finished, the band began to play 'Thrill' by Hotei, but stopped after a couple of lines. Then Kaicho appeared on the second stage and greeted the crowd.
Kaicho explained the Gakuensai concept a little, and when people shouted for GACKT he explained that he wasn't GACKT, and that he was Kaicho. He had the crowd shout for Kaicho, and explained the "Yoroshii ka?/Kashikomari!" call and response. This took about five minutes, but finally, we were ready to go!
The first proper song was a mash up of Glay's 'Kuchibiru' and 'Yuuwaku' and Kishidan's 'One Night Carnival'. Due to the catwalk and the second stage, the crowd in front of the stage was split into two pits, and the band, senpais and Kaicho would walk towards the left when singing one song, and then towards the right when singing the next song. As the mash up carried on, the time spent on each song became shorter and shorter until the lyrics were switching after only a couple of words and they were just turning from side to side all of the time.
Next was T.M. Revolution 'White Breath'. If you've seen the versions of this on the NicoNico Gakuensai broadcasts or the versions on the DVDs, then you'll know what happens. It began with Kaicho doing his usual "I really like Takanori-kun" introduction speech, although it was made a little funnier by Kaicho wide eyed staring directly into a well positioned camera whenever he spat out "DAISUKI DESU".
Kaicho also explained what parts of the song he wanted the crowd to sing and when everyone should shout out "Kaicho", and this was made easier by the lyrics and timings being displayed on the video screen so that everyone could follow along.
When it came time for the toilet paper gag, Yuki-senpai and Shinnosu-senpai were in place on time, but Shinnosu-senpai seemed to be struggling to get his toilet roll and/or feathers ready. So, the toilet paper started flying a little late and Kaicho shot an evil death glare at them when it wasn't happening on cue. They did get it all sorted out and it was fine, just a little late starting.
Kaicho explained that there had been many requests for Bz, and so many songs suggested that they were going to perform a seven song medley. Some people might think that there wasn't enough time for seven songs, but not to worry, Kaicho and F9 can manage it! He asked the crowd to jump and say "hey!" whenever the words "ultra soul" were sang.
This was the same Ultra Soul medley that was performed at Gakuensai a couple of years ago. Although the songs and were the same, the staging was a little different. The song titles and lyrics came up on the screen again, so everybody knew when the "ultra soul" bits were. The songs would change after only a couple of lines, so the seven song medley lasts only around four minutes... There was some senpai shenanigans as it was going on though. Two senpais danced together during the intro to 'LOVE PHANTOM', with one dressed in the schoolgirl outfit and Kaicho's long blond wig (I couldn't see who that was as she had her back to me the whole time) and Shinnosu-senpai threw fake snow around during the intro to 'Itsuka no Merry Christmas'.
Next was The Checkers, 'Julia ni Heartbreak'. This is my favorite Gakuensai song and performance of all the songs performed over the years so I was so happy to see it! It was the same performance as Gakuensai last year. It has a simple dance routine, that Kaicho asked the crowd to try and copy, and again featured senpai shenanigans such as Yuki-senpai ripping open his shirt and spraying himself with cologne and Shinnosu-senpai dressing up as Marilyn Monroe before stripping down to swim shorts.
While laughing, Kaicho said that we were at a sad point as they had come to their final song. It was to be 'Jounetsu no Inzauma' by G-G-G-GACKT. He announced a special guest as Kiryuuin Sho from Golden Bomber came out on stage, dressed in the Gakuensai uniform and wearing cat ears. Sho-senpai, as Kaicho said we should call him, looked a little nervous. As in previous Gakuensais, a visual kei festival happened first and all of the senpais ran on stage to dance and they crowded around Sho-senpai, staring him up and downn and making him very scared. They then danced off.
Kaicho explained the dance routine and during the song, the video used during the
Best of the Best tour was shown on the screen to help further. This time, the two racing drivers were Gakucchi Kaicho, and the Kishidan version Gakucchi. I don't know what happened, but during Kaicho's explanation of the dance routine, Val-senpai was looking very panicked at his drum kit and was either mopping up liquid or sorting some wires out or something. He was really frantic. Sho-senpai looked like he was having the time of his life dancing along, and he'd obviously rehearsed it quite well as he knew the moves and when to move around the stage.
The song finished and Kaicho, the band, Sho-senpai and the other senpais lined up at the front of the stage to take a bow. Unfortunately, they forgot about Val-senpai who was frantically jumping around behind them and trying to get Kaicho's attention so he could be included.
Kaicho and Golden Bomber were back on stage later for Kishidan's encore, and performed 'One Night Carnival' together.

There will be footage from Kishidan Expo on some of the morning TV programs tomorrow, but I don't know if Kaicho will be shown or not. Highlights from the performances will be shown on WOWOW at a later date.
And strictly speaking this isn't related to Kishidan Expo, but this is a good place to post it!
GACKT presents Camui♂Gakuen will be the main act at VAMPS Halloween Party on October 23rd, in Makuhari. Other artists scheduled for that day include VAMPS, BREAKERz, MY FIRST STORY and the HALLOWEEN JUNKY ORCHESTRA.
