The last time he did it, I think there was some talk about the original horse, Mareebo, being a bit under the weather due to the heat, so we got Snowman instead.
I'm guessing Snowman was also less than ideal, since he had his bit done really tightly, he might not have been very suitable for a loud, crowded event like this and difficult to control.
I imagine it's a pretty stressful thing for a horse...
Yeah, when he used Snowman in 2013 he said Mareebo wasn't in the right condition to do the festival.
He said that the horse he used last year got agitated by the flashes and noise at the battle re-enactment. I guess that with the broken leg he had at the time it would have been horrible for both of them. I just checked his blog from last year's festival and I don't think that he even named that horse, so I suppose that shows what he thought about that one!
I really liked these little changes, both horse and attire! It would be so nice to see other costume next year as well. Especially that bright red one...
And ARROW has been ringing in my ears lately, so...October, come quickly.
I like ARROW so far! It's got a nice melody. Nothing mind-blowing lyrically nor musically but I like the way it moves and the way GACKT's voice goes with it. I don't hear any particular interruption due to the fireworks though. I don't have a tumblr otherwise I'd comment directly to amaia's post on the guess at the lyrics, but it sounds clear to me that he's saying 無邪気な微笑み (mujakina hohoemi) right there.
Not interruption, but you can hear the fireworks during the closing parts of the song. Plus it seems to go from a better quality single channel sound to the sound from the PA and be more echoey (from around 5:50). It doesn't take over the song or mask it, but it's there. That's all I meant.
Ahhhhh, those photos are so lovely! Looks like everybody was having a great time. And I think the horse is lovely, even though I'm surprised it's not snow-white like the previous ones.

Mareebo seems to be alive and well at least, here's a photo of him from 8/18 http://blog.livedoor.jp/hopecocopa/archives/55342526.html
