I'm mostly bothered that these are listed under "Spring Releases" even though they are being released in July. What does this mean for the Visualive that is supposed to take place this summer? November? I'm in Japan from early June to early November... getting very worried.
I think that 'spring' refers to the season that the orders are taken. For example, the winter releases aren't out until the end of April (Gakuen DVD, Orchestra DVD and Eternal Slate) but orders were open in winter. His 15th anniversary goods won't come out until he's in his 16th year either...

I remember being annoyed by the way RE:BORN was released too. But now, when I listen to it, it doesn't sound like a compilation of singles to me. It sounds like an album the same way that Rebirth sounds like an album. Especially paired with the RRII DVD, which really brings that world to life.
Reborn is certainly a proper studio album. It's just that he went about this weird way of releasing every single album song as singles and their B-sides prior to the release. In that regard it was disappointing of course. I hoped there'd be at least one or two songs not heard on the singles.
But yeah, it's time for a new release. Surely there's gonna be one to tie into the last Visualive...
Yeah, that's the way I see it too, I just don't remember if GACKT ever actually said anything to the effect of having had all the songs done prior to their release as singles. That is, he had an album and he released it in parts, versus he had some songs and released them as singles, made some more songs, released those, lather, rinse, repeat.
RE:BORN did at least come with the drama CD, that was new.
