Here are reports from the Camui Gakuen shows in Chiba this weekend.
Saturday, December 13th was the 「神 」("kami / ka") setlist as it had been in Nagoya, and Sunday December 14th was 「威」 "mui", for the first time.

This was similar to Nagoya as it was the same setlist, so I’ll just mention the differences.
For the F9 variety show, the first game was to be like Yoritomo. His special power is the ability to read people’s hearts by touching them, so the game involved putting hands into boxes, touching the contents and guessing what it was.
Sato-senpai was first and he had a huge bullfrog in his box. He was able to guess what it was without any real issues.
Second was Yuki-senpai and his box had crickets inside. It took him awhile to find them inside the box, but he did and he also correctly identified them. The best part about Yuki-senpai’s challenge was Kaicho’s reaction. I think that GACKT’s hatred of bugs has transferred to Kaicho as he was freaking out slightly at the contents of the box.
After Yuki-senpai completed the task, Kaicho was asked if he wanted to do it too. He refused, and when Yuki-senpai picked up the box and started taking it to Kaicho, Kaicho was almost curled up into a scared little ball on his armchair. He didn’t do the game, and seemed quite relieved when the box was taken off stage.
Sato-senpai was picked to do the batsu game, so it was Sato-senpai who danced to GHOST. This time, Kaicho stayed at the side of the stage and was clapping along to Sato-senpai’s dance.

GACKT Facebook Sunday, December 14th
The show started with the usual speeches. For the Miss and MIster Gakuen contest, the winner of Mister Gakuen were several guys who were all dressed as women. It was a set up as they’d all worked the recent MOON SAGA play and quite visibly had backstage passes stuck on their clothing, but it was funny so nobody cared. There was another presentation today, as the title of Mister [star] Gakuen was given to Golden Bomber’s Kiryuuin Sho! He had sent a photo in for the contest and was called on stage to get a special sash from Kaicho. He was very cute and apologetic, and was confused on how to get off the stage.
F9 were introduced as normal and the variety programme began. Again, Kaicho came out to watch and the first game was to be like Kiku, so it was the foot massage challenge. First up was Sato, who was screaming that it hurt before the time limit was up. He crawled around the floor rubbing his feet and complained that the foot massage was different to rehearsals.
Next was YOU, and YOU didn’t make it through the time limit at all. He jumped off the massage table and ran away. When Kaicho laughed at him, he challenged Kaicho to have the massage. After some encouragement from the crowd and other senpais, Kaicho reluctantly agreed. GACKT has said that his feet are weak and that he hates foot massages, and it appears Kaicho is the same. Hayato-senpai was holding a microphone to Kaicho to pick up everything he said and Kaicho kept beating on him.
The next game was to be like Nori, so it meant the kiss scenes. First were Val-senpai and Hayato-senpai. Hayato-senpai spent most of the time pressing the mole on Val-senpai’s face, but they did eventually kiss very briefly.
Takumi-senpai has been chasing after Hayato-senpai for a couple of tours now, so he was angry at the kiss with Val-senpai. Then, the three of them did a skit that I think was based around a TV drama or anime or something, but I didn’t understand the reference.
The next pair was Takumi-senpai and Hayato-senpai, but it was basically the same as what they did in Nagoya. It ended with Takumi-senpai lying on top of Hayato-senpai and kissing him until he was pulled off by the other senpais.
I don’t remember how or why, but Kaicho was challenged to do a kiss scene too. He considered it for a long time as the crowd kept shouting and clapping for him to do it, and eventually he agreed. Shinnosu-senpai decided that Kaicho should do his kiss scene with Yuki-senpai.
They started the scene seriously, with Yuki-senpai lying in Kaicho’s arms as they pretty much did the scene as it was in the play. In the play, Yoshitsune pleads with Nori for them to return together but Nori refuses, kisses Yoshitsune and then dies. In the Kaicho and Yuki-senpai version, Kaicho pleaded for awhile but they decided to go their separate ways and ended up on opposite sides of the stage.
They went through a little exchange of saying goodbye and goodnight to each other without either of them actually leaving. Eventually, Yuki-senpai ran across the stage and launched himself at Kaicho and the two of them hugged. They pulled away a little and stared into each others eyes as Kaicho leaned into Yuki-senpai a little… then a little bit more… and then they kissed. It was just lips on lips for a couple of seconds, but the build up beforehand and the gazing into each others eyes made it seem like a lot more! The crowd went crazy at Kaicho kissing Yuki-senpai!
When the kiss was over, Yuki-senpai fainted and collapsed onto the stage.
Kaicho was asked to pick the senpai to do the batsu game, and he chose Takumi-senpai, so Takumi-danced GHOST and then it was the break.
The same video as the other setlist played to start the live.
1. Siam Shade - Sanbun no ichi no junjou na kanjou
Unlike last year, there was no tie or ribbon waving. Kaicho wandered around the stage a lot and teased the audience by opening his jacket. Other than that, it was pretty much the same as last year.
2. LUNA SEA - End of Sorrow
In his intro, Kaicho spoke about talking with Shinya. There was a slight mishap when Kaicho fluffed his cue and began singing again while Takumi was still doing a solo, but he stopped singing quickly and carried on as if it had never happened.
3. The Checkers - Namida no Request
For this song, Takumi-senpai swapped his guitar for a saxophone. Wang-senpai and EGA-senpai acted as Kaicho's backing dancers and "singers". The dance routine was largely based around the microphones (think in the style of an old Motown performance) but sometimes, Kaicho, Wang-senpai and EGA-senpai would step away to dance properly while Takumi-senpai stepped up to play his saxophone. When they performed this song a few years ago, Takumi-senpai couldn't play saxophone.
He still can't.
4. Ziggy - Gloria
For this, Kaicho asked the crowd to sing the line "hold me tight" (correct English pronunciation not necessary at Camui Gakuen as Kaicho can't English). This was the tie and ribbon waving song. It's a fun performance and you can tell the band and Kaicho enjoy it.
5. GACKT - Jounetsu no Inazuma
Very similar to last year. Kaicho still couldn't remember the dance routine when he was teaching it to the crowd, but at least he was cute in his forgetfulness. The dancers, Val-senpai Hayato-senpai, Shinnosu-senpai and Yuki-senpai all danced along in cat ears too. There were staff at the sides of the stage holding up boards with the dance routine for the verses. Kaicho mimes the song, of course.
6. L'Arc~en~ciel - Stay Away
Kaicho sings this a bit lower than Hyde does, mainly, which surprised me. If you've seen the video then you'll know the dance routine and as well as doing Hyde's little... shimmy... throughout the song, Kaicho and the dancers did a pretty good of copying the dance routine at the end of the video.
7. Remioromen - Konayuki
Kaicho offered to warm us up in his fluffy coat. This is always a beautiful song live, although Kaicho mimed his falsetto near the end.
8. Yutaka Ozaki - I Love You
Same as last year, with just Kaicho and a pre-recorded piano track. He took off his glasses, and his fake eyelashes were pretty obvious to see.
An audio skit played where Yuki and the senpais discussed dressing as girls and performing Kara. Then, they trolled us all by saying they'd do the Bluehearts set again, like in the other setlist.
But, it was the Kpop set!
9. Kara - Mister
Like last year, the girls walked through the crowd. For this song it was Val-senpai, Hayato-senpai, Sato-senpai, Takumi-senpai, Yuki-senpai and YOU-senpai in the old, blazer style schoolgirl uniforms. The routine was very similar, but Yuki-senpai had a big role and Hayato-senpai took lead vocal duties. At the end when they all stood in a row to shake their asses at us, Takumi-senpai slapped Yuki-senpai on the ass.
10. Big Bang - Fantastic Baby
Same song as last year, with the updated Camui Gakuen lyrics. The girls were Wang-senpai, EGA-senpai, Ryo-senpai and Kaicho. The routine was basically the same but had a few alterations. Kaicho's skirt is very, very, very short. Not only could I easily see the very small black shorts he had on underneath, but they were tight fitting enough to clearly show that despite the pretty face and killer legs, he's still a guy...
11. PSY - Gangnam Style
Again, this was the same as last year. Wang-senpai, EGA-senpai and Ryo-senpai were dressed in the AKB style uniforms and joined by Val-senpai, Hayato-senpai and Yuki-senpai as backing dancers for Shinnosu-senpai.
An audio skit played that I think is the same as the other setlist. It’s mainly about Yuki-senpai and Toshi-senpai
12. X JAPAN - Silent Jealousy
13. X JAPAN - X
The same as the X JAPAN set always is. They all look ridiculous/fantastic in their X JAPAN cosplay and Kaicho is an animal on the drums.
A video was shown, and it’s the same video as the other setlist with Yuki-senpai meeting the other senpais dressed as girls and then getting beaten up by girlie Kaicho.
14. SMAP - Shake
All of F9 were dressed in gakuran (the old style male school uniforms), with them all wearing black uniforms other than Kaicho who was wearing white. They all dance, and the vocals are largely handled by Kaicho (miming again), with YOU-senpai, Takumi-senpai and Sato-senpai also having microphones. Yuki-senpai and Wang-senpai were shirtless underneath their jackets. It’s always such a fun and happy performance - Kaicho seems to enjoy doing this song so much and there’s many cute moments. Probably the cutest is a part where Kaicho and YOU-senpai dance and sing together at the side of the stage. The dance routine is very similar to the proper SMAP one.
And with SMAP, the ‘mui’ setlist was finished!
I think I prefer the 'mui' setlist of the two. It's soooooo much fun.
The next Gakuen shows are in Osaka on December 23rd and 24th, with the 24th being broadcast on NicoNico.
It's pretty late right now and I'm a mix of tired but still buzzing from the show, so if there are any typos or anything I haven't explained clearly then please ask!
