(Haha, pyroyale, you posted just as I was going to post mine. xD)

Anyway, yes, this song and I have a history. (*≧▽≦)

I don't remember how I first learned of this song, but I remember watching the Sengoku Mosuo preview video over and over and over and over again just so I could listen to the song, even ripping it onto my iPod. I also hoped and prayed to everything made out dark chocolate that it would end up being more than 3 minutes and 11 seconds long. At 6 minutes, and 36 seconds, I was very happy! xD

What I do remember is the first time I saw the music video and finally heard the song in its entirety. I was sitting in the hallway with my laptop watching youtube waiting for my American Literature professor to arrive, when I watched the thing on Youtube. I was so happy but could only watch half of it because the professor arrived and I had to go to class. When I finally watched the whole thing, I was floored. It was so beautiful, and it created feelings in me that I had not felt since listening Returner. I even waxed poetic about it on my FB page and and probably went on to annoy everyone on my feed.

I was also excited that Tsukasa was in the vid because at the time I had discovered D'espairsRay, so for me it was one of those "Hey, I know that guy!" moments.

I would eventually go to listen to this song a thousand times a lot within the next month, write a poem based on the music video for my creative writing class a year later, take screenshots of every frame I liked for my personal collection, and include it on my "My Songs" playlist in the coveted No. #2 spot. Sigh.(⌒▽⌒)

I love that the song speaks of longing, wanting to be with someone, and hoping to reach someone across insurmountable distances. At least that's how it feels to me. I think the music video does well to reflect the meaning of the song of wanting to be someone, and not being able to reach across the distance, or in this case, darkness, to reach them, but hoping that the elements of nature will help you. (´ ▽`).。o♡

Also, I recall somewhere that GACKT said that in the video, they're all supposed to be vampires, each stuck in their own light, or something like that. Someone correct me on this if I'm wrong. I thought it was interesting.

Also, I really want to see him perform this live. Hope someone finds the video of it!
