I don't know if people know about his, but Chachamaru gets 50% of the music composition credits since the Mars album (aka not for the previous singles), and 100% of the guitar composition as well.
I still remember something... Chacha didn't join until the recording of the Mars album (hence he didn't appear in the Mirror video for example), and there's an interview around on the first impression... Chacha went into the studio and Gackt showed him some guitar samples that he had been working on, and Chacha told him straight "man, this sucks". XD
XDDD I don't have a source... I wish I did. I read that A LONG TIME AGO XD maybe someone is familiar with it... I still found it a pretty amusing first impression XD
If the credits you are referring to are credits on cd booklets (credits are nowhere else to be found I think), G has always been credited for lyrics and music, or even producing. Chachamaru arranges.
Though it just occured to me that whenever we see the credit "Gackt.C" instead of "Gackt", maybe that C doesn't stand for Camui but Chachamaru?
Idk it's totally out there, but I always wondered about this difference that shows up in dvd credits; total concert producer is "Gackt.C", the performer is just "Gackt".
Eh? that C is for Camui XD However I swear I've seen Chacha properly credited only since the Diabolos album though, but it is pretty obvious that the guitar arranging and some of the music is his own. I mean have you listened to the Air album? it's pretty obvious.
edit: I do listen to Air, I love that album. And it does suggest that Chacha has a large input where it comes to guitars in G's work. ^^
Where did you find the credits that suggest Chachamaru composes for G? That "Gackt.C" does leave me curious though.. why differentiate if it's the same person?
