The tour is going quite well except France. From what i heard from French Dears, Gackt's image is pretty bad in France since last year's concerts, plus French music is not too much on the rokish side so touring France would have to involve much better promotion and scheduling.

The tour last year went badly in France? (do you mind me asking how? ^^ *doesn't remember hearing anything*)

It was sold out alright but G received negative press reviews, according to what Lizy and Lucie said ):

The consequences of a bad article in the French press when the number of fans of JMusic here isn't really increasing (it seems decreasing to be replaced by Kpop progressively), can be very important ( ... )

I do not think it was he who made decisions on where and how many shows would be held. I may be wrong tho. From what i heard from French fans, there was almost no promotion, the timing was horrible, the ticket prices were very high for Paris show, and add to this that it was the first YFC show ever... Plus French crowds are generally hard to please... Very, very dumb.

Germany has 4 shows which is also kinda too many imho. Since the promoters are a German company, lets hope they know what they're doing with German shows at least (unlike French ones).

Right. I also think Europe is indeed a new territory so he does not know what to expect and follows what local promoters suggest. Who, i suppose, decided to ride out the success of previous year's concerts and did not invest into proper advertisements and stuff.

In contrast to Germany, France is not that fond of everything Japanese, you can read what Lizy wrote in another comment to this entry here - http://ohgacktyoudidnt.livejournal.com/230774.html?thread=19343990#t19343990

Still, had they booked smaller or less venues, it would have been an easy success i think.

There's one more thing that's important too I think.. It's the migration factor.... Since Europe really does not exist only of the countries the concert are at.... And well,... Germany is positioned pretty central in Europe so many people from other countries go there too.. I'm one of those people too, by the way.... Actually I think the audience at these concerts is so mixed it actually pretty hard to talk about only Germans, French….and so on… And I think it’s same for Budapest… All south-eastern Europe is too be there…. It’s the only place with a concert around there/here…
