[Discussion] The Girl in Setsugekka: 'What' is she?
I was recently watching a few clips from a Japanese drama (based on a comic book) about a Japanese school for 'foreigners' in Japan.
I was struck by how much the blond girl looked like the model in Setsugekka PV, and did a little research, and sure enough, it's her, Camilla. On her profile page, her filmography includes both the drama and Setsugekka PV.
Well, if it's just about that, I wouldn't have posted this (XD;;), but I thought it was really interesting that her profile lists the role of Camilla in the Setsugekka PV as Yuki Onna (雪女 snow+woman). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuki-onna
I always wondered exactly what she represented in the PV.
I somehow imagine a Japanese woman in Kimono as the deceased love of G's character, so I'm inclined to think that Camilla's role is not his dead lover but a spirit of snow that appears in front of G as he moans in sadness and pain in snow, so I guess I wasn't far off? LOL
Do you have an opinion on what she represents in the video? What has been your impression?
Has anybody read or heard this explained somewhere? :3
What do you think the Yuki Onnna is trying to do in the PV? Console him? Haunt him? Kill him? Seduce him? @_@ (Remember, Yuki Onna is traditionally EVIL.)
