This may only apply to Japanese fandom, but he says that there are fraudulent chain mails circulating claiming their own bank account to be the one for SHOW YOUR HEART.  He asks everyone to check that the bank account matches the one on http://static.hangame.co.jp/hangame/extra/showyourheart/index.html before donating.

Just a reminder that I'm ( Read more... )

Didn't want to say this in the post but I am officially grossed out by the people using this tragedy for their own gain or agenda

-__-' Let's not start that. Just look what happens here in Germany, and this although there have been politicans saying that we shouldn't start discussions on the suffering of the Japanese people. What kind of people did you think of?

Dear amaia,

thank you for all your hard work. Still I'm very worried about you. It doesn't look good at all so if you have any chance to head to the south, then do so, because if worse news come it might already be to late and you might need too long. Better go a little earlier. Forget the translations, there are still people who can provide us with information as long as you are away!!!

Well, I couldn't leave tonight because of a blackout that left me with not enough time to get a train... The severity of the situation is being quite hyped overseas, and many of my friends are staying in Tokyo because it isn't expected to be truly dangerous even in the worst case scenario.

Experts say over here that it depends on if there is a meltdown and if it is followed by an explosion which will throw everything high into the air. AND of course the wind would have to change into the direction of Tokyo, but as we saw today in the morning, this goes very fast.

I don't think it's time to panic, but it is not bad to be careful and to reduce the danger for oneself as much as possible. If you have the possibility then why take the higher risk, right? Nobody needs that. We all want you to be save. I want you to be save! Expectations or not, it wasn't expected for things to come this far, it was not expected that three of the reactor buildings explode and the fourth burns. All of it is unexpected, so hell knows what is to come next. Just please don't underestimate the whole thing, too.

That's just it... these particular reactors are highly unlikely to explode or otherwise meltdown in a way that breaches containment (this is the article I have open right now from an Australian scientist, there are lots more http://www.aussmc.org/2011/03/science-blog-reactor-incidents-in-japan/). Not saying there's NO danger, but the media is hyping it like Chernobyl, when that was a different kind of reactor entirely, was fully active (rather than in shut down mode) and being experimented on unsafely when it blew up ( ... )

Great, from where do you have the credit card donation info?

And do you know by any chance if it was mentioned somewhere that this is really official:

http://www.facebook.com/GACKTOfficial#!/GACKTOfficial?sk=app_183509661672925

Sorry, I'm a bit overexcited now ;-).

Was already pissed off by the fake account info during the day grrrrr.

On the page I linked in the post with all the different languages, if you click on one of them you get a page about it and it mentions at the bottom they're planning to do credit cards.

I'm currently trying to work out if that facebook is real myself. It looks official but hasn't been posted on any of the official sites yet.

For me, it's not official, for two reasons :

1) His name is not written in capitals, it's weird because his Twitter is written in capitals.

2) In the bio, it's written "He was cast as one of the main leads, YOSHI, in the film BUNRAKU in 2003.", who think it's weird ?

Mistake or not, we should not say that it's official for now.

OH! I hope credit cards soon! Bless his heart, for not only doing this, but keeping us informed of the nasties trying to take advantage out there.
