GACKT fronts/begins fund-raising project

After the huge earthquake affected Japan, Japanese (visual-kei) artiste GACKT, who has always portrayed a cool image, started the "SHOW YOUR HEART" website fund-raising project; the funds raised will be used to help the people affected by the disaster, via Red Cross Japan, the Japanese government and other charity organizations.

GACKT has also appealed publicly on his personal blog:
"Please give us strength and courage - let us know that the people of the world are concerned, reaching out and caring for us, and that (the people of the world) will definitely not abandon us or ignore us. Now we need everyone's helping hands and efforts, everyone's love and concern, so please help us."

Taiwanese artistes, including 范范FanFan and 黑人建州Black, have also been invited to take part in this project. 黑人建州Black has also revealed that "Though Makiyo, GACKT is inviting other artistes (to take part) and it seems that Wang Leehom is also participating."

In addition, Korean artistes, including Bae Yong Jun, Lee Byung-hun & Choi Ji Woo, have all expressed condolences and sympathies though their agent companies, and hopes Japan will recover from this disaster soon.

Seven years ago, during the Japan Chūetsu Earthquake and the South-Asian Tsunami disasters, Bae Yong Jun contributed a total of 600 million Korean Won (SGD $674K ~ approx. USD $527K) to help those affected; it is believed that he will also contribute to show his support during this time.

Yes I realized that the reporter did not put GACKT's name in caps *sigh*
(have sent this to G and did apologize on behalf haha)
And they did not include the website link (though I guess they probably didn't because it's all in Japanese language...
For me personally, I'm already quite happy to see this in the SG newspapers.
Because usually the newspapers hardly report much news on Japan artistes etc...

Funny incident with this news report...
I was teaching in class and going around looking at my students' works when I caught sight of the news banner (1st pic).
Now G's face was covered but I was like "that picture...!!!" and immediately swiped my student's newspaper to confirm :p
My students were wondering what caught my eye so drastically hahaha
Oh well, proof of G's powers of distraction...

On another note, does anyone have any other reports on overseas coverage of SHOW YOUR HEART?
I think it'll be nice to share and of course to let G know he's being heard (loud and clear haha)...
