[MAINTAINER♥POST] → ANOTHER POST ABOUT MEMBERSHIP!
Hey DEARS.
This post will be relevant to a small amount of you only-
to those who have applied recently.
Since the earthquake in Japan we have received a flood of applicants that apply for membership.
Normally I or sammet would PM you personally to get in contact with you first, especially those that we must rightfully suspect for troll accounts (no history, no posts, no comments posted/received, brand new journals, etc.). (However, at this point in time, we have stopped with sending out PMs first.)
And of course, we want to know that you are interested in GACKT, and the type of community that OGYD is - first and foremost a playground for DEARS that you will invite yourself to. (And please, don't be afraid to do so!)
By PMing, I want to make sure that you indeed do communicate, and by asking you to tell me something about GACKT in those mails, I want to make sure you indeed have interest.
There have been people honestly saying, that they like him for the lulz, and people that admire him and to which he is an inspiration.
(+ Of course, being one doesn't mean you can't be the other!)
This doesn't matter that much. As long as you talk to each other&want to have fun together, joining is the option, and we will try to ensure you entrance as soon as possible.
A few PMs is too little to get to know you properly. Interacting in the community is the key, and is what makes fandom enjoyable, no matter where.
Since I can see myself becoming side-tracked more and more, let me get to my point:
Due to shortage of time, I want to ask all of those that have applied recently, please PM mun_chairudo or sammet, answering these questions:
1. How are you? : )
2. What do you think of GACKT?
3. Have you read his latest blog - are you following him on twitter - tracking the current situation in Japan?
Don't worry about length.

There have been applicants from Twitter (in the past) and facebook, and I don't know what to do with them - I don't know the limits and possibilities, but I will make the decision that, if you can PM me and receive PMs from me, you will be approved, too.
Being GACKT fan shouldn't have more borders than absolutely necessary, and the reason why ohgacktyoudidnt has moderated membership and a (wonderful imo) team of Mods is because we want to ensure that ohgacktyoudidnt will stay a safe place to voice your opinions. Also, that we can help you more efficiently if you have questions/concerns.
We, that means, my team and I, need to be able to communicate with each of you for that!
So if I see that operating through twitter/facebook on Livejournal isn't affecting communication, I see no reason to keep the doors shut to fellow DEARS.
