Three of us are just sittin' around in the living room, my roommates' friend Claire is quietly playing guitar and singing; she sounds so beautiful. Acoustic guitar gives such a pleasant ambiance. Now they're jamming.
Sha sha.
Anyway so last night I was chillin' with some people at a friend of Julie's, and his backyard is hella tite. There is a circle of mismatching chairs (and a couple shitty couches) around a table, ambient lighting, a punching bag, and, best of all, a robot fridge.
AWWWWesome.
Apparently the setup used to be on the garage roof.. the rope and makeshift ladder (upper body strength, yo) were still there so of course I had to go check it out. Just some junk and an old dirty chair. Cool hangout diggs though.
So I met some more people that were more my type. Our introductory conversation involved Pokemon, so of course they were immediately on my good side. And then the first time I actually hung out with them we were playing Bomberman on his Wii, so more cool Tina points lol. Then the kids started playing with instruments and we recorded a really ridiculous jam session. I played the "annoying box," a homemade battery device that squeals when exposed to light.
Yupp. They're all friends of Julie from ucla radio. She got me an unofficial internship as "event photographer." Bitchinnn. Now I really have to buy a flash for my camera... And Misha is in the ucla happa club so he was tellin' me to join. I realize more how socially useful it is to be involved in extracurricular school shit. Lol. Who knew.
Ponytail show tonight at the Smell.
