exploring Santa Monica.

So today I did some exploring. Lots of walking and a bit of bus riding. No maps or anything. I feel better about my sense of direction.

If anything will keep me here, it's the weather. OMG THE WEATHER. IT IS PERFECT EVERY DAY. Yeesh.

First, here is where I live:

Apt #13. Wooooo.

It's in a nice, non-ghetto area.

There is a 7-11 and Baskin Robins on the corner. In case there is an ice cream emergency.

Also down the street is this place:

I wouldn't go in if you paid me.

ANYwho. First thing I did was walk down to Santa Monica Blvd, and just went down the direction that looked more interesting. I walked until I recognized Sawtelle Blvd, and turned South until I saw asians, leading me to the Japanese shopping center.

I saw these on the way.

Hello, America.

Dangling boobs?

I got a quater watermelon and natto maki. They had natto makis!! Nobody ever has natto makis. But it had some spinach-looking leaf thing in it. I didn't like that. I ate it and was very happy. Except for the leaf.

Kept walking. I still don't have a bed or anything. So I checked out Linens N' Shit's closing sale. No pillows or nothin' left. Except comforters with matching booties.

I took the bus to the beach. Bus drivers always seem mad. I saw the community college on the way there, so I have a better idea of where it is..

The beach was nice. The pier isn't much, just a small ferris wheel and a rather tame-looking roller coaster. I wanna skimboard!!! Hellaaaa.

Sweet beach houses:

The beach as your back yard?? Hell yeah! Too bad your front yard is a freeway.

hahaha.

On the way back home, I was walking through some pedestrian shopping street (I think it's the street my roommate and her friends were jamming at and got $70). A woman asked me a questionnaire-type question and asked me if I had time to watch a 9-minute video about good and evil and suffering in the world. It was in front of this sweet DINO FOUNTAIN:

"raaaaahhhhh"

I said sure why the hell not. It wasn't shady or anything. But it was boring. Shit about true happiness and evil and merging God and science together to understand life blah blah.

Oh well, I got free tea.

And theeeen I made the mistake of buying a Whole Foods burrito. It tasted good n' all. But it was like $10.50. FUCK. I have half of it left... But I don't have a microwave! FUCK!!!

Soo I have the place to myself tonight. At least i get to sleep on a couch tonight, instead of the floor. Yay!

I heard a car start that sounded like they were starting up a dolphin. I wished I could have been with someone who appreciate that as much as i did. Probably only Conor. haha.

Now I remember why I stopped posting shit on LJ.
