I NEED SOME CULTURE IN MY COLLEGIATE LIFE!
.........i've realized i spend about 75% of my time outside of school this year in Gage's dorm rooms, and i don't even live on campus anymore. i mean, FUCK, i live downtown... i should be eagerly participating in all vancouver has to offer. instead i feel my nights slipping away amid a collection of cheap wine, beer, and crappy UBC parties where they charge people $5 to get in because of the kegs. the only time i meet anyone somewhat stimulating is when i'm at clubs, namely gay clubs, because at least there the people are open-minded. this is not how i imagined my 'enlightening' college career in a big city would be.
where are all the people my age who like to go to art galleries and cultural festivals and shows by random DJs no one has heard of? i know its a hard jump to step outside of the all-encompassing social scene at UBC, but somehow, i think its time.
now i just have to find some events...
