I watched
Shaun of the Dead last night. In the UK was it released as Sean of the Dead?
I liked it, though Bill Nighy was under-used. But he pretty much always is if you ask me. Of course when he said (after being bitten by a Zombie) "It is alright, I ran it under the tap", I laughed pretty good.
I won't go into a detailed review here, but I was not overwhelmed by the movie. I do not think it had anything to do with the movie. I am trying to strike a delicate balance... I want to know about new movies, but i am getting to the point where I don't want to know too much.
CHUD.com is a great site, and I love the editors there, but they get excited about stuff. And then I get excited. And then I get high expectations, which is closely followed by disappointment. Shaun of the dead was a funny, light, clever, diverting movie... but I am pretty sure that it was not the second coming. It certainly was not as good as
Millions.
I need to avoid the hype. Having said that, if I hype Battlestar Galactica, I am right. Other than that, no hype please.
