Hetalia Mpreg Rant
Okay! I've been meaning to do this for quite some time, since I feel the need to blab about my opinions on the whole mpreg matter. So, if you're easily offended I suggest you turn around and run the other way, cause I can be a bitch sometimes (the fact that my space bar is being an ass isn't helping much).
I love mpreg. I think that can be established. HOWEVER, I'm not particularly fond of mpreg that has no meaning behind it. The only reason I read stories where characters can randomly become pregnant is because I'm obsessed XDD I hate it when couples have sex and then a couple of weeks later one of the men winds up with child. That's not how it works. It would be fantastic if people could provide a REASON for the pregnancy. For instance; in my Hetalia mpreg, I used magic! Magic is a great excuse to make almost anything happen! Fairies are awesome, no?
If you can't think of a valid reason for mpreg, well...at least have the skills to write a well-constructed story.
Next topic! State-tans. I HATE THEM. End of story. Not only are they not canon (since it's CLEARLY stated in manga that Texas is America's glasses), but there are 50 of them. It's very annoying to see thousands of fans come up with 50 different OCs each for every single state. No, that's just not how it works. The states are parts of Alfred, not his children. In fact, the entire idea of Alfred having children kinda irks me a bit. I do like when he bottoms from time to time, but I simply can't see him with child. So, if one more person asks me if the children from my stories are going to be states, I'm just not going to answer. I've already ranted about this on youtube as well in my Ask America videos.
Next up: countries. In my personal opinion, countries are not produced by means of mpreg. They appear, just like Matthew and Alfred did. Nations pop up at random and are discovered, since they have always been there! They don't just appear out of thin air! I don't think there will be any new nations, seeing as the entire world has pretty much been uncovered, so...SEALAND IS NOT THE OFFSPRING FROM MY STORIES! PLEASE STOP ASKING!! Not only that, but I'm not particularly fond of Sealand...
To sum it up, the children from my stories are my own. They're original characters who I work VERY hard on and pour all my love and time into. Emma will not be the only one! I have a whole line up, however, I think only the first three will have a part in the Draw a Circle storyline. The others may only exist in oneshots and may not be tied to their brothers and sisters. They're still being created by my friend Molly and I, believe it or not!
My OCs, like Emma, are unique, however. They age like nations do, since they are the children of two powerful countries. They don't die easily, and some do have super strength like Alfred (and his metabolism, though one unlucky baby doesn't *smirk*). So, while they do age, they will always look in their early twenties once they hit maturity! As for their future children, that probably won't be discussed in my stories, since the time line most likely won't span that far.
In completely unrelated news: I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND!! I'm so super happy!! I haven't smiled this much in...a really long time ^^' She's the sweetest thing, and she loves mpreg and USUK! We're going to cosplay together, and maybe I can do cosplay picture for Draw a Circle with her, if she'll agree to it. She's coming to see me sometime before the summer ends, and it'll be our second time meeting <333
Well, my allergies are killing me and I can't breathe...My eyes are stinging like hell and I'm super tired. I was planning on starting the second chapter of Mou Ichi Dou (for those of you who don't speak Japanese, it means "one more time", or simply "again") today, but now I'm not sure I'm feeling up to it...I'm exhausted just from typing this rant. I really need allergy medication.
Okay, you're long enough, rant! I think I've gotten everything out that I wanted to say. I hope this answers some questions, though I doubt many people will read this XDD
Thanks again to everyone who supported me through Draw a Circle! I promise I won't let you guys down and I'll work as hard as I can on the sequel and the oneshots that come with it!
