(no subject)
I don't know why I get bright ideas like taking naps at 9:30 p.m. then wake up two hours later feeling completely stupid. Ughhh. It's going to be a long night. Megan and I spent about $20 on candy today at Walmart and I've already eaten half a bag of mixed hershey's mini's. She took them away from me thank god. I had forgotten how much I enjoyed the newest S.O.A.D. album, even though it's slightly frightening.
I've been thinking alot about my future and have already been looking at graduate schools. It's kind of scary because I'm used to pretty much winging it, and now I have to plan. Whyyyyyyyy? I now know where I'll be in the next 2 years. Right here. Finishing my undergraduate. Tech was only going to be a pitstop for me until I was no longer a minor (under 18) and I could move to a bigger town with more possibilities. I never thought I'd graduate from Texas Tech. Ugh, fuck continuity. I was originally going to go elsewhere to pursue my master's but today I found out that Tech offers a Master's in International Affairs which is right up my ally in my concentration for political science. I don't know. We'll see how I feel in 2007. My stomach feels terrible.
Three people today stated that I'm much friendlier and more fun conversation prone when I've been drinking. Yeah... duh. Man, I can't do this drinking 4 nights a week anymore. I'm going to burn outtttt. Only one night this weekend. Maybe two. Because my BEST LATIN BUDDEE Travis turned 21 (!) today. He lives with his parents. So I doubt he's going to celebrate much, but I think I can convince him otherwise. Anyone want to go to the Tech Speech and Debate showoff tomorrow? Actually today, it'll be funnnnn.
True Story:
My Physical Anthro lab TA walks in to the classroom, sets a stack of papers down and states (while waving a cigarette around in the air):
"Alright, everyone grab a study guide for the test on Thursday. Anyone smoke? I'm going out for a smoke, feel free to join me. I'll be back in a little bit so don't freak out."
