FAQ

Q: Is participation required?

A: Nope! At the end of the phase anyone who has not participated at all may be cut (there will be a poll option for non-participators to find out if they want to stay). During the phase nobody will be cut unless they withdraw from the comm.

Q: But then won't a team suffer if there are a lot of non-participators on it?

A: Nope! Team assignments will be based on percentages of activity participation rather than straight up team numbers. Eg, if Team Squid has 20 people but only 10 participate, and Teams Platypus and Puffin have 10 people each but all of them participate, then new members will still go to Squid since Squid has only 50% participation but Platypus and Puffin have 100% participation.

Q: So what is this comm about?

A: This community is similar to other land comms which you may have heard of. There will be games, activities, challenges, etc, that members do for points (and for fun!). At the end of each phase, the team with the most cumulative points wins! What do you win? Mostly just cred and self-respect. ;)

Q: If it's a land comm, then what -land is it based on?

A: Unlike traditional land comms, there is no centralized theme this comm is based on. Eg, tvrealm is a tv-land community, fantasyverse is a fantasy-land community, etc. Anything Goes is not based around any sort of fandom. This is why I'm not even calling it a "land comm," but an interactive comm. :)

Q: Are there any fandom-related activities at all?

A: You betcha! There aren't lots, but there are some. Many of the activities are just fun games or challenges and have nothing to do with tv shows or movies. Some of the activities are fandom-optional. For example, one challenge might be "write a story." This could be fanfic, if you wanted, or an original story with your own characters.

Q: So for the fandom-based challenges, what fandoms are allowed?

A: Literally any. TV shows, movies, books, comic books, video games, even bandom. Some activities may be naturally semi-exclusive, eg a picspam challenge would preclude books. But those are kept to a minimum.
