Frabjuous frickin' day
CAN I TALK ABOUT HOW CALEXICO IS COMING HERE IN SEPTEMBER WITHOUT SQUEALING AND CLAPPING MY HANDS IN DELIGHT? NO I CANNOT. Oh man this is the best thing ever ever ever to happen here. Ever. (Yes, I AM ignoring the fact that this means I will be here in September and my soul will be utterly destroyed)
Point 2: Is anyone in this area interested in attending the Shellac show with me? My only noise-rock friend will be in Chicago by then, and I'm still operating under the delusion that I can make new friends.
Point 3: My new favorite band is the Elliott Brood. You should check them out! There are some mp3s here("Cadillac Dust" is the catchy one) "Death Country," they call it. I say they're like Johnny Cash, if he had come after the MC5. They definitely do their own thing, though; it's not the usual alt-country-psychobilly staple band. Hopefully they will start touring in the US soon! Yay! Look at all this happiness! I may barf!
