I think it's because i was reading a lot of Dave Sedaris when i started writing and everything he writes is just in vignettes. Though, i was reading Me Talk Pretty One Day at the time, and that's not even a novel, it's just a bunch of stories. So i suppose the chapters will get longer because i'm going to have to direct the writing somewhere soon.

I'm going to buy a lunchbox and whenever you come over, i'm going to close it on my penis so you have no access. That's actually something they do in rural malaysia. It's a weird psychological disorder that only happens there in which some dude will become deathly afraid that his penis will retract into his abdomen, so they clamp a box onto it to make sure it can't. regardless, i'm still standing firm on my resistance.

It's funny, i write much better than i speak and i type much better than i write. I generally write at the computer, but ideas come to me in songs most of the time. Like i'll be sitting and listening to something and i'll think 'this would be a really good song to put in a scene about this,' and then i decide to write about it.
