Mantua teen killed by truck
SHALERSVILLE-- A 15-year-old Mantua boy was killed Sunday evening after being struck by a pickup truck.
Michael A. Quinn, 15, of 12746 Vincent Drive, Mantua, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred on S.R. 303 at Price Road in Shallersville. He then was teken to Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.
The drive of the pickup truck, Wilburn D. Marstiller, 72, of 2000 Gates Ave., Streetsboro, was not injured.
According to the Ravenna Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, about 6 p.m., Marstiler "was traveling westbound on S.R. 303, and while negotiating a slight right-turned curve in the road, struck Michael as he was attemping to cross the road from north to south."
The crash remains under investigation.
