As I was going through a stash of old games, I came across an old X-box game my 'lil bro got a while back, entitled; Future Tactics: The Uprising.
For those of you who haven't played this game, it's a futuristic RTS that focuses on mayhem and explosions more than stats. The first time I played this game, I was appalled. I hated it. Loathed it, even.
However, I decided to give it another go, as I was bored. Turns out, this game happens to be a ton of fun. For one thing, the soundtrack's great. Some people argue that it doesn't really fit with the game, but to me, if the music sounds good, then it doesn't really matter. While most of the levels are fairly straightforward, there are a few choice levels that take quite a while to think up a strategy on.
The main plot's simple and relatively easy to follow. The Earth is infested with vile creatures that know nothing but the destruction of humans. You follow Low, a human in his late teens, and his struggle to survive these creatures.
The best part, however, is that you get to control this guy:
Yes, the little robot-thing with the jetpack. He has a British accent, and is kinda like a butler with his attitude and manner of speech, only he's a bodyguard. And he kicks serious arseage.
