Not a worthwhile person
Got a message today from REI saying they've changed their minds and don't want to hire me. Reason given: they decided to do a smaller round of hiring. Do I have an "incompetent" sign taped on my back? I fear what's happening with everywhere I apply is that they're calling Amazon, and my managers either don't want to take the time to talk or are being unflattering. No way to know, though. Whatever it is, my potential employment is now gone and I feel like I'm in danger again. I'm glad I took a nap before I noticed their message. And I had stopped actively looking for the past week since the guy I interviewed with at REI said they wanted to hire me, adding that extra special suck to the situation. Dynamic Datum did send me an email asking for a coding sample and salary requirement, which gives me hope. I'd really like to know one way or the other from them sometime sooner than a few weeks from now - that would be an optimal situation. For now, I need to get back to sending out applications for temporary work. Actually, I think it's time to turn myself over to a temp agency.
