[Joshua looks mildly amused, but to those who know him, they can see that he's a little tense from tightly restrained anger. Still, his voice is the same amused and pleasant tone.]Now, I hear that there's someone who goes by the name of 'Enjin' around here. He's done something quite interesting to a...friend of mine, not to mention stole ( Read more... )

Enjin? I've heard about him. What did he do, exactly?

[He's just here because trolling bros look out for one another...plus, he gets more info out of this about Neku. Kill two birds with one stone, right? :)]

Mess with my friend's soul and mind, cut him up a little, steal something that's extremely hard to come by~

[Yes they do, bro. And he's so vague on the details, but whatever. It's enough~]

Ooh, that does sound harsh. Steal something...it wouldn't happen to be something like a pin, right? Or is it something else you're talking about?

It is a pin, actually, with a unique design on it.

I remember overhearing Enjin gloating about it a while ago...they seem to have special properties, right?

And what would this design be, if I ever came across it?

Oh, yes. This one is quite special~

It's black, with an interesting white pattern on it, kind of like graffiti art. It'll let you read the minds of others if you use it~

Read the minds of others? Now I see why such a thing would be valuable...

[BRB, storing that information for future use.]

Okay, I'll see if I can find it. If I can't, I'm sorry to say that Enjin probably took it for good.

I'm Nikola Tesla, by the way. And you are?

Yep~

Not a problem~ I appreciate the help either way~ If I have to, I'll get it back myself.

Yoshiya Kiryu, but most tend to call me Joshua.

Nice to meet you, Joshua.

And, do you mind if I ask a quick question of you?

What are these pins used for, exactly? Do they have some kind of purpose?

They're used in the Reaper's Game, or the Game for short~ Not everyone can use pins, and even then not everyone can use every pin. Some have...different means of defending themselves~ The Player Pin usually means that you're a participant in the Game, but Neku is a Player no longer. The only way to play the Game is by dying~ Players are playing for a second chance at life.

So, this Game...everyone who plays it is essentially dead?

That means, Neku technically isn't alive...and you aren't either, I suppose. But what do you mean, that he isn't a Player? Did he win the Game?

[Voice] oh_neku_dear October 10 2010, 17:02:23 UTC
Yep.

No, Neku was granted second life, along with three others. As for myself...well, I've known about the Game for a long time~

[Where's the fun in telling all of his secrets?]

So, why does he need this Player Pin if he isn't a Player anymore? Seems like you're making a mountain of a molehill. Unless, of course, that pin does something else other than read minds...

He was allowed to keep it as a reminder of what he learned during his time in the Game. He's changed quite a bit~ I'm certain he's kept other pins as well~
