i'm staying at the Don CeSar Hotel in st. pete beach, florida. the pink palace in the above picture is that place. this is a great place in terms of service: i've never had so many doors held open for me or anything along those lines. i feel out of place, but it works out well.
i return to portland tomorrow. i'll be back for the weekend, and then i'll be out to wyoming for next week. after that, i'll be in stroudsburg, pa. this'll take me up through thanksgiving (which means that i might be back in the 'cuse for turkey day!). i'm without a clue as to where i'll be at november's end or in december, but it should work out pretty well.
the week has been excellent. beyond meeting my peers in this position, those few people who can empathize with what i'm doing at this job, i was able to spend time with family. i was served a wonderful dinner at my cousin's house on monday, and i was able to meet (for, possibly, the first time) a second cousin of mine who just turned three. dinner was made by my cousin's husband. both my cousin, karin, and her husband, sam, are lawyers, and they'll be great resources as i head towards law school. i was also able to see courtney today, which rocks. courtney is one of my favorite people ever.
i hope to write more this weekend. for now, i'm off to bed. sweet dreams . . .
