Tune up
In the hospital for a tune up, should be out by Monday.
I got a pic line yesterday from the same guys that gave me one last year. I love John and Carl...mostly because John stands at the end of my bed and talks about movies while Carl puts in the pic. John and I have the same taste in books, movies, and travel destinations, so it's a nice distraction while I'm having a hole punched into my arm. And they remembered me from last year, so it was cool to see them again.
I've also managed to get the same room the last three times I've been in, so I already feel at home (or as "at home" as one can be in a state hospital). Unfortunately, the cafeteria still has it in their minds that, because I'm a CFer, I need double portions at every meal. That just makes me sad because I end up wasting so much food in a day...so much nasty nasty hospital kitchen food. I think I'm just going to start claiming that I'm vegan so they'll stop sending me TWO salisbury steaks every evening (I don't even eat ONE. Seriously, red meat is already not my favorite, but HOSPITAL red meat? *Barf*)
And, I've managed to make friends with some of the respiratory techs in my building. One came by today just to say hi since he's not working on my floor. It might sound stupid, but sometimes it's nice to have reassurance that I'm not an incredibly annoying patient.
Though I've got to say, as much as I love the staff at this hospital and the CF team, I can't wait to get out and go back to work/school/film crewing.
