what did you do in 2015 that you'd never done before?
Went to Israel, Directed my first opera as a theatre company manager, also did some MDing in Hamlet.

did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

1. Send off your FUCKING WRITING! (AGGGGHH! I really need to do this- so scary.)
2. Do the 30 day shred again (I did it! I also mostly cut out sugar from my diet.)
3. Work hard and do two great shows with your theatre company! (Well I only did one, but that was not a bad thing! More shows to come...)
4. Be honest with people and don't expect anything from them (I was better at this)
5. Be your usual positive self, please! (meh...)

1. Please work on your writing and send it off!
2. Don't give in to the sugar, or at least not too much
3. Love and be kind and patient.
4. Stop interrupting people!
5. Focus on theatre company- do a fabulous Iolanthe!

No

did anyone close to you die?
Yes, someone in my family died- it was very sad, but I have lots of lovely memories of him.

England, Wales, Germany, Italy, China, Israel, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary, Denmark

what would you like to have in 2015 that you lacked in 2014?

A bit more belief in my personality.

what date(s) from 2014 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?

29th June- the first performance of Ruddigore. It was terrifyingly good!

what was your biggest achievement of the year?
Ruddigore, and managing to stay alive despite my depression getting worse.

what was your biggest failure?
Not believing in myself. Not doing anything with my writing.

did you suffer any illness or injury?
I've had so many colds this year, including one that lasted about 3 weeks. No injuries.

what was the best thing you bought?
I bought a really nice red skirt that I now wear all the time, and a great jacket, so I'm now super cool.

whose behavior merited celebration?
Jamie, fo sho. Louise, Mary, Tiina.

whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Again, I can't name names, but I HATE being let down consistently. This year I really need to love myself and not let other people's behaviour bring me down so much.

where did most of your money go?
Clothes and food.

what did you get really, really, really excited about?
Not too much this year, actually, it's been a bit of a funny one! We moved house, which was great, and...oh! Going to Copenhagen with Jamie, and doing lots of work at the banquet for Halloween and getting to dress up. I bleached my hair this year and am dying it all sorts of crazy shades.

what song will always remind you of 2015?
Lorde- Buzzcut season. Oh my god.

compared to this time last year, are you:

a) happier or sadder?
Health-wise, happier, but definitely calmer and more sensible.

b) thinner or fatter?
Thinner- but this last month with all the beer and Christmas hasn't done me any good!

c) richer or poorer?
Richer

what do you wish you'd done more of?
Focusing on my own life.

what do you wish you'd done less of?
Obsessing over things I can't control, worrying, doing nothing.

how did you spend christmas?
Birmingham, with Happy Feet and Doctor Who.

Kind of, but not really.

There may have been a one-night stand or two.

The Apprentice, Dance Academy, Make it or Break it, Rick and Morty

do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No, actually, just the healthy amount of fluctuation.

what was the best book you read?
Cat Country- this genius satire about China; so wonderfully bleak.

what was the best theater you saw this year?
I loved the Lion, the witch and the wardrobe at the Birmingham REP at Christmas.

what was your greatest musical discovery?
Lorde, and The Bad Plus

what did you want and get?
More actin work, more singing work, respect from a cast, an actual professional show that I produced myself.

Some romance... *sigh*

what was your favorite film of this year?

STAR WARS!!!! Oh my god I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait for the next one!

what did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
29. This was a low-key affair which involved me getting the train up to Harrogate and meeting with Savoynet people, then had a lovely dinner cooked for me and some wine- very relaxing!

what one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Again, some good lovin', but when I stopped worrying about that I actually had a much better time!

how would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2012?
Very short skirts and crop tops, a lot of lace, leggings, big furry jumpers.

what kept you sane?
Spending ages doing make up, Jamie.

which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Jennifer Lawrence, David Mitchell.

what political issue stirred you the most?
The whole election drama was a bit maddening.

who did you miss?
I missed Jamie on tour, but not a whole lot else.

who was the best new person you met?
That's tricky, but on the whole it's probably lovely Caroline.
