Yesterday, we spent the entire day decking out the house in way too many Christmas decorations. My mom goes, "Do you think it's too much to put this blue garland around the windows?" and I looked at her and went, "...too much? NEVER!" That was how most of the day went. It looks freakin' awesome...with the exception of one thing.
This year, we're kind of financially drained. So my mom was talking about how we might have to go without a tree to my hairdresser and my hairdresser goes, "Oh! I have an extra tree! It's about 4-ft tall...and it's FIBER OPTIC!" And my mom is like, "Er, okay." So she gives it to my mom, and we brought it home, pulled it out of the box, and plugged it in.
AND IT ROTATES.
VERY SLOWLY.
AND CHANGES COLORS.
And is rather...small.
This is our only tree this year. It would be kind of amusing if it weren't so sad.
It's complete with ridiculous green birds on the branches.
I figured if we're going to have the corniest tree ever, we may as well embrace it.
