This is not because I want to be a cool kid and make myself feel like I have some exclusive LJ. It's just to weed out the idiots, the people who just add other users to make their friend-of list longer, the close-minded folks with no respect for other's opinions; and to keep a few people that I personally know from prying into what they need not know.
That said, I ask that you read the few little bullet points in my user info and respect the wishes of my journal--I just want to meet some good new people and keep a tidy friends page so I can keep up and try to read and comment on as many of your entries as I can.
