2. how about the republicans refusing to allow anybody at their assemblies without signing a loyalty oath and/or writing an essay about their reasons for voting for bush, or denying anyone with an anti-bush t-shirt to come in. isn't that infringing on our first amendment rights?

4. umm..michael moore was at the republican convention also, one of the few instances they didn't require a loyalty oath.
5. we do not want to eliminate god/religion/other cultures. the Constitution doesn't support god/religion playing ANY part in government-after all, there is supposed to be a seperation of church and state. and we try not to eliminate everybody but right-wing christians from the suprememe court. we don't want to infringe on anybody else's rights by giving evangelical christians the ultimate right and authority. as bill mahr says- "religion doesn't equal values. values are independent from religion."
6. we went to war to get rid of the taliban-the people who believe that women shouldn't show their faces-BUT we took our troops out and let the taliban back in because someone was more obsessed with iraq.
7. wait-we may oppose the war but that doesn't mean all liberals don't support our troops? the war may have been wrong but liberals are compassionate people who will never try and disrespect our troops. but are we supposed to fight blindly? kerry was repeating what he had heard from other troops. he found the very war he fought in to be a war we never should have entered, and made his comments in order to try and get fellow troops out.
8. you cannot have a society without taxes. without taxes we would be living in chaos. how do you suppose we pay for the things that keep america above any other country economically? without taxes we could not PAY FOR THE WAR WE ENTERED, or health care, child care, education, hospitals, labor, medicine, roads, transportation, security, safety and defense. the fact is that people who pay the least taxes and in some case no taxes are the richest members of our society. while the people who can least afford it pay the most. taxes are annoying and nothing to look foreward to-but we forget that without taxation america would not exist as it does.
9. not all liberals believe in affirmative action. i, for one, do not. same with my parents. but i'll give you this-because i make generalized statements about republicans all the time.
10. I quote kevin: "if a fetus is inside a host being, then it is NOT about to survive on its own." not everyone is against the death penalty. i'm not completely sure where i stand on it. all i can say is, we must use the death penalty carefully and cautiously, the same goes for abortion.
11. that may be true about the j.f.k. thing, but i don't really know what aspect you are talking about. secondly, i'm not sure if george bush really qualifies as a republican either. he's more right-wing than anything. but if he had been president then, there probably wouldn't have been a world today since he would have gone to war with soviet russia because of the cuban missile crisis.

1. first of all, you cannot make statements such as bush went to war for oil because there is no proof for that. you are free to think that; however, it's an unsubstantiated claim. secondly, it's not true that most nations don't support him. i suggest you look up a list of our allies in this war. there are a few vocal opponents, but there are many staunch supporters.
2. private assemblies have the constitutional right to exclude people on practically any basis (except for race). while i do not completely agree with this practice, the reason they do it is because the dissenters disrupt the gathering. the protesters, on the other hand, weren't protesting merely the location; they just had a stick up their ass against the republicans.

4. what does that have to do with anything? the fact is that the democrats honored him by having him speak at theirs, while demanding that bush denounce the swift boat PAC.
5. separation of church and state is one thing; taking "under god" out of the pledge of allegiance is another. do you know that in some public schools it is forbidden to pray in public? for instance, if i wanted to do the sign of the cross before taking a test, i could get in trouble. THAT to me is ridiculous. liberals hate god. they find him and religion really offensive for some reason. i don't know why.
6. our troops are still in afghanistan. the news doesn't report much on it.
7. i never said liberals don't support our troops. straw man, zoe (heh, ap joke.. i know, i'm a dork). how do you want a president to lead a war if he doesn't believe in it in the first place? if he called the soldiers "babykillers"?
8. the thing is, bureaucratic governments are REMARKABLY inefficient at handling money. there is so much tax money that is going to waste, it's insane. and it's not true that some of the richest members of society pay no taxes at all. believe it or not, tax cuts make things better for the poor, too.

10. i disagree with that definition. a fetus that is able to survive once removed from the "host being" is, by all definitions, one that is able to survive on its own... me climbing inside a fetus doesn't change the fact that i'm able to survive on my own. and of course the death penalty must be used cautiously.
11. well... by all standards, right-wing tends to be republican. yes, bush is a polarizing figure, but clearly so in the republican sphere. as to jfk being president during the cuban missile crisis, i have one word for you: brinkmanship. possibly the most dangerous and risky foreign policy EVER.

the most powerful of our supporters are pulling out and most of these country have 1000 or fewer troops. france and germany have allied against us.
but, i thought your point was that it was alright that george bush had no support from the world and neither did clinton, so i'm confused
2.i don't know when you mean about liberal's opposing the RNC. if it's just saying "hey, we're angry about this" i don't think there's a law against that either.

4. though moore's facts were very very biased- the swift boat veterans were proven to have lied. moore may have distorted the facts-but the swift boat veterans created them. i don't really care that bush didn't denounce the swift boat veterans since we all knew they were full of shit anyway-so, no, not every liberal really cared that he didn't.
5. taking "under god" out is a little extreme, i admit, however, in some public schools it is ALSO FORBIDDEN TO SPEAK OF THE THEORY OF EVOLUTION. a prayer is one thing [i think people should have a right to pray whenever, wherever] but to denounce a scientific fact for the sake of religion is, well, ridiculous. i also cannot believe you said liberals hate god. that really bothers me. i don't hate god. i just don't believe in the same god that some other people believe in. if that is hating god [i.e., having some sort of different religion all my own and not conforming to christianity, catholisism and or evangelical christianity] then yes, i guess i do hate god.

7. kerry doesn't believe in the war. that doesn't mean he's gonna get up and take all the troops out. does that mean to be president you have to believe in every single thing the previous president believed in? should he compromise his opinion in order to follow bush? no-he didn't believe in the war but he agreed that once we got ourselves into this logical blackhole he would do everything in his power to make it work.
8. there is money to going to waste, namely 120 billion going to the war [and he's asking for more]. however, taxes are necessary and to believe they are evil is just...well, that's weird. and there are actual statistics proving the rich people get the better end of the stick.

10. i don't really think third-trimister fetuses (feti?) should be aborted unless the pregnancy endangers the mother's life. however, this argument doesn't make sense when compared to the argument against stem cell research. an embryo cannot survive on its own, therefore, nobody should have any problem with stem cell research. and i do agree with you once again about the death penalty.
11. i do agree that bush is clearly in the republican sphere. but my last and most nonsequitar point is, even the most dangerous and risky foreign policy did not errupt in nuclear obliteration.
