So, like, I haven't posted in ages. As usual. Haven't had much time for reading and commenting, either, so don't think I'm ignoring people, just been stupidly busy ( Read more... )

Heh, yes, the reaction posts are pretty good at sucking the fun out of things. Sometimes I wonder if some of the people in this fandom actually like the show at all! :D

I'm not counting out Moffat's version yet - I mean, there's a Neil Gaiman episode coming up, so that has to be a winner - but it's reassuring to think of it in terms of the longer series, and the whole there'll-be-another-showrunner-soon-so-it-doesn't-even-matter thing! :)

With DH, I just think I'm maybe not a fan of those types of shows. I seriously hated every character, and just didn't even care what happened to Barrowman by the end. Oh well! I don't think he had any scenes with most of them, though, which was annoying, as that was the only reason I was watching the whole show and not just the excerpts he was in. His storyline was really small, though, which i wasn't expecting!

Oh yeah, my trip! I've been meaning to post my travel diary things that I wrote. Heh. Maybe it's been too long now.. is there a limit? But I totally got to see Barrowman in La Cage aux Folles... twice! (The first time, I was sitting right behind Russell Tovey, which was awesome). I hadn't really expected to get into it and only really bought tickets because I was so disappointed he wasn't going to be at the Hub, but I actually really liked it (Simon Burke was awesome, too!) So I did this ridiculous thing where I flew down from Glasgow for one night just to see it again, then flew back the next day. So I missed out on visiting Glasgow, but I got to "meet" (er, in the stage door way, not the actual meeting way) Barrowman twice! :D And the Hub was awesome, too. Had a great time, even if there were really not many guests I was very interested in seeing!

Oh, and you should totally watch Ashes to Ashes. It's awesome. (But only if you've seen Life on Mars first... the UK one :P)
