i have numerous cuts and bruises, including what will probably turn out to be a fairly impressive one on my face that coincides with a nearly broken nose

for the record, I don't think it's a lack of skill. One of the reasons these things cost so much is the proper supplies -- if we had *all* of the appropriate equipment at our disposal, instead of two tiny clamps and a metal patio table, you probably wouldn't be having so much trouble.

Maybe we should invest in some safety glasses just in case, though...
