Throne of Glass - Sarah J. Maas
Book Review
I give the book a spectacular 5/5!!!!
Alright so this is totally one of my favorite fantasy books I've read. It's the very first of the series and obviously, it just came out. I am so hooked though. I absolutely love Celaena...and Chaol...omfg! Even though Dorian is head over heels for her and they do end up eventually making out and stuff...she's actually in love with Chaol and meant to be with him too. You can tell at the end. They not only have a spark, but they have a shared understanding that always ends up in true love.
So aside from the LOVE triangle....there's obviously the King who is horribly evil and corrupt but alas, he is just a man with too much power and he should really be taught a lesson by Celaena, the assasin because she's so much cooler than he is. Anyway my heart just breaks everytime I hear about yet another evil thing he's done that's put a whole lot of people through hell. Revolt should be iminent.
And let's not forget the hilarity of the fact that while I was reading the book, I saw one of the character's names was Elena who just happens to be one of my favorite characters in the Vampire Diaries so I was very happy that she was one of the good ones. The Half-faerie spirit that helped Celaena with they ridderak.
Words cannot express how much that thing repulsed me...especially how it killed. I don't want to even describe it. You'll find out if you read the book.
Oh and then there's Nehemia who is my second favorite character. I'm not gonna say much about her because I don't want to give anything away. But she's hot. lol.
All in all I enjoyed every single second of this book so I reccomend that you pick it up because you'll fall in love with it too. Especially if you love love triangles coupled with mystery and fantasy!
It's like a pleasure fest
