Book Review
"Darkly Dreaming Dexter"  by Jeff Lindsay
I give the book an awesome 5/5

This book was crazy awesome! Like the whole time I was reading the book I was seeing the show also in my mind since I already know what the characters look like. Except there are a few differences when it comes to who lives and dies. Obviously on the show LaGuerta doesn't die in the first season. She survives and grows but oh in that book I wanted to strangle her several times so I didn't mind at all when her character cut it in the end. lmfao.
How very Dexter-like of me
NO EMOTION

I think a few interesting things throughout the book was how the author interwove the characters so well that it didn't seem like much of a surprise in the end when he picked Deborah, his foster sister, over his very similar, crazy older brother. Which made me very happy by the way. Dexter may SAY he's a monster but he's a real DARK KNIGHT!

He doesn't really seem to be too attached to Rita in this book, but that might change in the later ones. Even though in Season 1 he really does start to feel like he wants to have a real normal life with her, which he definitely shies away from in the book.
SO MANY THINGS HE DOES DIFFERENTLY.
but still those who like the series you'll still love the books too cause
they're just as exciting. And it's cool cause while you're reading you'll actually have a voice to channel in your head. Same thing with Deborah and Rita. So easy to hear their voices. lolz.
SO READ IT I SAY
and you must always follow the code of Harry!
